Las Vegas has a hot desert climate with intense summer sun and dry air. In a warm climate, the surface gets used most of the year. Grip around water and resealing are the things to ask about. Safescapes says the surface is non-slip when wet and recommends resealing every 3–5 years, depending on traffic and UV exposure.

Poured rubber usually goes over what's already there. Concrete is the most common base, and Safescapes also lists stone, asphalt, interlock, wooden decks and gravel. That keeps resurfacing jobs simpler than tearing out and re-pouring. After installation, the typical wait is 48 hours before walking on it, depending on temperature and humidity.

The Winter Training Program is held in Hamilton, Ontario, so contractors from Las Vegas would travel to Canada for the 2 days. It's a 2-day hands-on program for contractors and owners, taught by Matt (17 years of install experience). It includes an install manual, pre-recorded courses and job-costing simulations, and covers selling and marketing rubber surfacing. Sessions are Dec 8–9, 2026 or Jan 27–28, 2027, with only 20 spots.
